HIV/AIDS is not only an incurable, life threatening condition, it is also an epidemic of prejudice, selfishness and discrimination. This article by Zackie Achmat and Edwin Cameron examines the unique challenge that HIV/AIDS poses to the labour movement, employers and the government. The article is based on a submission commissioned by the International Labour Organisation before the appointment of the second co-author as a Judge of the Supreme Court.
